Pineapple - Ananas comosus, origin nates from South America. A herbaceous perennial, this is renowned worldwide for its highly juicy and succulent fruit - crowned with highly presentable shape and colours. It is much liked either fresh or processed (Jam, Pickled etc)

Mauritius is one of the world leader of pineapples producing and exporting countries. With years of experience the Mauritian traditional growers have reached a carefully selected variety - the Queen Victoria. This exclusive is primed for its exceptional quality, flavour and taste and above all for its highly reduced crown size and proven long-lasting shelf-life.

Availablity:
Grown for over 200 years, pineapple cultivation now covers 122 hectares with approximate annual exports of 700 tones which is on an increasing tendency. Available all year round with peak seasons between October and February. Also available on a smaller scale - for the convenience of our customers, peeled vacuum sealed pineapples cautiously packed in polystyrene boxes to ensure its freshness. Its catch everyone's eye.
